Workshops

Workshops are designed for individuals in various stages of their personal and professional lives.  Each of them are based upon chapters of a forthcoming book that is a narrative of a liberal arts major in the job market.  It is based upon years of qualitative research and trial and error.  Workshops are conducted by Bettina Byrd-Giles.  Private sessions are also available.

Upcoming Workshop:  Re-Engineering Your Career

This workshop is intended for the unemployed, underemployed and the person who has been laid off.

Current Students (Rising Juniors and Seniors)

This workshop is designed to connect rising juniors and seniors with resources that are crucial to them as graduation approaches.

Recent Graduates ( Under five years out of college)

This workshop is designed for individuals who have graduated within the last five years.  The workshop helps connect them with resources, interests, skills and abilities.  By the end of the workshop, the participants will have an action plan that should be deployed with ease.

No longer Honeymooners (6 – 10 years in the workforce)

This workshop is designed for individuals who are seasoned.  They may be seeking a job or career change.  They are wondering how to transition into something new when they have invested so much time in what they have been doing.  They may be on the fast track, but they want to get off or they feel they still have not gained momentum at this stage of their careers.

Finding Your Life’s Passion (Ages 28 – 32)

Where has the time gone?  Not sure what you should be doing at this point in your life?  Can’t believe you’re close to 30 and still not sure which direction your going to take?  Join us for this three part series to find your life’s passion.
